• Last Stop Records was founded in 2000 by Alex James Muscat as a forum to advocate San Francisco's independent music community. Establishing itself as San Francisco's foremost Do-It-Yourself, record label.

• The mission is to enable and empower independent recording artists & musicians to support, document and promote themselves, as part of the constantly evolving San Francisco Bay Area music scene.

• We actively support local artists by sponsoring live events and local organizations that feature independent artists in local venues.

• Located at laststoprecords.com, our web site was launched in 2001 and since then has grown a loyal and sizeable web community (reaching peaks of 5,000 visits and 50,000 hits in a one month period).

• The content of our web site includes our CD discography, an MP3 player, show information, a message board, pictures, a store and links to the advocates we have encountered along the way.

• Our Artist/Label agreement is such that artists keep 100% of the income generated from record sales and downloads. Only our distributor takes a piece. By keeping our costs down, our artists don't need a major label to produce quality albums, but wedo need your support.
